Metro New York's Latin American Law Students Associations invite you to our first regional conference.
This
conference will address the consequences of underrepresented Latinos in
the legal community—providing students, professors, and practicing
attorneys an opportunity to collectively discuss and strategize means by
which Latinos can impact the legal world-- Amplifying the Latino voice in the law.
While the Latino population in the United States continues to grow, this growth is stalled in many critical areas of the legal profession. There has not been a proportionate increase of Latino law students or law graduates. Few law schools have Latino professors. Major legal organizations and law firms lack Latino leadership. These daunting truths are enormous obstacles, but no match to our commitment and dedication to our community.
This conference, organized jointly by the Latin American Law Students Associations in Metropolitan New York and New Jersey, will be a positive catalyst for the constellation of social and racial awareness in the legal profession. Participating law schools include: Brooklyn, Cardozo, Columbia, CUNY, Fordham, Hofstra, Pace, New York Law, NYU, Seton Hall, St. John’s, and Touro Law.
Please amplify your voice and join us.
Students/Recent Graduates $10 in advance, $15 at the door
Professionals $20 in advance, $25 at the door
KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Diana Sen, Esq., President, Hispanic National Bar Association. More Info...
Keynote Introduction: Fernando Bohorquez, Partner, Baker Hostetler More Info...
